The Saikssit XR Project is an Indigenous-led initiative using Extended Reality (XR) to preserve, revitalize, and re-center Blackfoot cultural knowledge. Through immersive, tribally authored experiences, the project creates new ways for learners to engage with Blackfoot language, history, ecology, and relationships with place.

Saikssit XR brings Blackfoot knowledge into immersive digital environments while keeping Blackfoot people at the center of how that knowledge is represented and shared.
Led culturally and strategically by Blackfeet Eco Knowledge, experiences are developed through Elder consultation, cultural protocol, and sovereignty-centered frameworks. This ensures that Blackfoot stories, language, ecological knowledge, and cultural perspectives remain accurate, protected, and shared on Blackfoot terms.
